Three Chances to Wear Your Denim and Support a Good Cause

Sunday May 11–Tuesday May 13, 2008

Your shoes say a lot about you. On National Denim Day(s) ours said we support the fight against breast cancer.

The Museum was proud to take part in the Cure Foundation's National Denim Day on May 13, a fundraising campaign to support breast cancer research. And if one day was good, three days were even better! The Museum added an additional two days to the campaign by kicking it off on Mother's Day—Sunday, May 11—with special crafts kids could make for their moms.

Everyone who wore denim during the three days had $5 of their admission donated to the Cure Foundation. Even little ones did their part by wearing denim: all of their admission was donated. In fact, since a child's admission costs $4, the Museum kicked in a buck each time.

Thank you to all participants for helping us help the Foundation reach their goal. Let's end breast cancer together.
