Tap Your Toes Around the World

A year-long festival of global folklore at the Bata Shoe Museum

Through 2007-8, Toronto's folkloric groups came to the Bata Shoe Museum to celebrate their culture. They brought dance, music, folkloric costume, art, and examples of traditional footwear to the Museum. All were welcome, and there was something for everybody: people watched amazing dances, admired beautiful wood carvings, tried their hand at a craft, and tapped their toes to the music. Grown-ups and children alike enjoyed the festival atmosphere.

All performances and activities were included in regular Museum admission, with no need to pre-register.
